Fly fishing in the „Großglockner“ region
The fishing habitat „Fuscher Ache“ starts from the „Hohe Tauern” park, at the bottom of the “Großglockner” mountains. The river has a length of 28 km, and has extremely clear water conditions: a peal in the “Hohen Tauern” region. After being kept private for over 50 years, this area is finally made public now and available to the guests of our Hotel.
In order to give you an idea of the clearness of the water, there are plenty of fantastic fish species available, such as the astonishing Fario trouts. The length of the river stretches from “Ferleitental/Käfertal“, a valley with many peaks over 3000 metres, passing through little cascades and the villages of Fusch and Bruck, until the “Salzach”. In order to enjoy fly-fishing we suggest dry flies, ninfees and streamers.verwendet werden.
